Ambar

Founded in 1900, AMBAR still operates in its original brewery in the centre of Saragossa where
traditional methods are combined with the most modern technology. We preserve a malthouse from the late 19th Century, where wooden machines are still in use, and with the only fermenting room with open fermentation vessels still in operation in Spain. La Zaragozana is a company that combines tradition and innovation to brew excellent quality beers.

This delicious dark beer is brewed with three malts that give it special flavour, body and a unique aroma. The base malt is a caramel malt providing complex aromas to the beer. The second malt has been roasted longer to give color and body. Finally, Schlaffer malt, produced in our own malthouse that dates from the late 19th century, is responsible for its firmness and lasting aftertaste.

AMBAR

Its amber colour is a result of the half-roasted malts used in its brewing and which give it a unique bitterness in harmony with its body. The careful mix of malts, made from the most select varieties of two-row barley, give it body and
roundness to the palate, and its unmistakable finesse and bouquet. The choice of bitter and aromatic hops lends the beer its characteristic fresh bitterness.

AMBAR 1900

High temperature fermentation reveals the fullness of aroma from the yeast. The control techniques employed by our
brewmasters allow these fullbodied, though subtle aromas, created by the yeast as it happily ferments the wort, to be enjoyed almost limitlessly. Pale in color and with a fine froth, this ale is gentle on the palate and has the flavor of fresh fruit and the aroma of freshly-roasted malt.
